Humor Your Human
ClownZen
ButohClown

Order of Disorder (Street) Training

It's been 18 years since I first taught workshops at the San Francisco Circus Center...

Discover, Explore, Deepen our connection to humor, lightness, joy, absurdity, innocence, and ridiculousness.

Connection. On the inside, to our sense of humor, to our emotional board of directors, and to our joyousness. On the outside, to those we share our expression with, be it a public or intimate situation.

Whether one is a clown, performer, movie actor, therapist, teacher, lawyer, nurse, or just plain interested, participants find fun, their funny, laughter, enhancing their capacity to communicate with lightness, with humor and without words,

To engage humor, I use the artistic platform of physical theater and European clown, widening the perspective by incorporating butoh dance, mime, improvisation, voice work and taoist health exercises. Presence, mindfulness are always in a mix that encourages uplifting and en-lightening styles of humor,a stronger sense of both the dyanamic and subtle aspects of expression. There is a generous dosage of improvisational and creative activity with humor alive, working individually, in duos, trios.

Where do I teach? In the past few years, I have taught in Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Burma/Myanmar, Columbia, Germany, Israel, Japan, Spain, and the US; in Theater schools, Film schools, Clown schools, Clown Doctor programs, Zen Centers, Spiritual Education Centers and Child Friendly Spaces.

For Whom ?

Performers including clowns, clown doctors, actors, dancers, comedians, musicians, directors, filmmakers, puppeteers, storytellers, magicians...

People from 'all walks of life' including psychologists, teachers, lawyers, nurses, doctors, dentists, social workers, zen masters, plumbers...
