"decidedly wondrous approach to clowning"
san francisco chronicle
With over 1000 performance in 28 years in 40 plus countries, Moshe has developed a universality to his humor. The audiences laugh, they laugh a lot. Families laugh, children laugh, adults laugh, even serious people laugh.
Mr. YooWho has played in Kosovo, Tokyo, Rio, Jerusalem, Barcelona, San Francisco, El Bosque, Katmandu, Berlin, Brooklyn and quite a few other spots on the planet......
Mr. YooWho sports a European Clown perspective, old school, steeped in a Yiddish absurdist sense of humor with a taste of Japanese Kyogen, and Butoh dance sprinkled throughout.
His language is one of human expressions, actions, rhythms and emotions.
What's so funny? Perhaps, it is Mr. YooWho’s way of doing things, choices that he makes, objects that he transforms. For Example: how he dances flamenco for example, with oversized plastic bags.
The flamenco dance is but one of many ludicrous events of comic persuasion. He plays a sonata with twirling plastic tubes, and asks a wind-up penguin to do a salto mortale high jump into a bucket of water. A former juggler, a few elements of cigar box and hat manipulation sneak into the act. Most recently, Moshe has developed a fascination for Japanese kazaguruma (pinwheels) and continues to explore oversized orange sunflowers.
